SPACE 2 are two twin collective dwellings in a suburb of Berlin, Germany. The goal with this project, being in a residential single housing neighborhood was to make collective housing units with the comfort of a personal house . There are a total of 12 apartments, 6 on each unit, two on each floor. The apartments at the ground floor have their own personal backyard and the ones on the upper levels a spacious terrace space so that they all enjoy the same comfort and intimacy quality. All apartments have either one or two parking spaces. The ground floor apartments are accessible for the disabled and have parking spaces for the disabled. There are deposit units, parking spaces for bicycles, and deposit spaces for baby strollers for each apartment. All units benefit from a common playground for children in the backyard.
