PANORAMIC D

Panoramic D is a hillside individual housing project situated in Feleacu, Cluj. The site is situated in a rather natural environment on a hill with a panoramic view towards the nearby forest. The concept searches the integration of the house in both the natural and vernacular local context. The local rural environment contains of low rise buildings with a modest aesthetic. The proposed project follows this aesthetic in a rather minimalistic way and shows a low rise building with a modest aesthetic from the street side and an impressive two story almost fully glazed façade from the courtyard. All the main spaces in the house are oriented towards the impressive panoramic perspective that oversees the forest across the hill. The big glazing façade reflects the natural environment around and integrates the whole house in a minimalistic contemporary way. The project has a friendly, natural connection with the sloped site and is oriented on using renewable energy (solar panels).
