APARTMENT R

Apartment R is a 87 sqm apartment in Andrei Muresanu Sud residence, a new residential development in the upper area of the Andrei Muresanu Neighborhood in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The owners desire was to create a comfortable precious aesthetic with timeless accents and details. The goal with this project was to balance the eclectic and classical aesthetic with geometric accents and details that create a contemporary style, fit for the users needs. The elegant lines and bright interior spaces are balanced by the use of noble colors like royal blue and fine fabrics. Golden accents were placed in carefully chosen places so that they create space identity and highlight specific areas. The golden accents also work as a binder for the entire concept as this element can be found in all the areas of the apartment. The master-bedroom highlights an imposing fine aesthetic through the 2.3 meter high headboard and chosen color pallet. The first Bathroom continues the image of the hallway through the chosen tiling and usage of a similar color palette. The master bedroom’s bathroom uses geometric play to balance the composition trough a gradient hexagonal non-color pattern that gets darker or lighter in designated areas of the bathroom. The kid’s bedroom follows the general concept with a bright interior, elegant lines and color accents creating at the same time a more cozy environment that encourages the child’s creativity and imagination.
