Apartment B is an AirBnB rental space in the central area of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The space is contained in an old building ensemble and changed it’s function many times through time. As it got this new contemporary function, the challenge was to rearrange the limited space in such a way that it can accommodate diverse tourists for a limited period of time and at the same time to be flexible enough to work as a permanent rental. The whole interior partition was changed with the minimal effort possible. The living area became a bedroom and a workspace area as it’s position is more private. The working space area became a living space , the kitchen was moved in the open living area and can also accommodate a dining area which is also a kitchen cabinet. The bathroom was moved in the old kitchen area and the old bathroom became a dressing area. The whole space can be either separated in private zones or it can be used as an open studio-apartment with a lot of open space. The design approach is dark and minimalist with elegant, noble tones. The  chandeliers and lusters were a very important element of the space as the ceiling is very high and gives the whole space a sense of amplitude, so this elements were very carefully chosen so that they were slim elegant and at the same time impressive in the whole design composition concept. The chromatic is dark, neutral and gives a great sense of elegance and privacy.  The bed space is the central point of the bedroom and the first thing you see when you enter the bedroom. The wooden elements above the bed and the suspended lusters above the night stands encourage the vertical sense of space and imposing aesthetic of the room. The kitchen is minimalist, dark and elegant with incorporated features that leave the space open and clean. The chairs in the dining area can be hidden under the kitchen island when not used so that the space can be used either as a kitchen or as a living space.
