MIRROR

MIRROR is a duplex housing project located in Transylvania, Romania. The challenge in this project is to adapt the proposed building and exterior landscape design to the steep hill. The proposed building is a twin coupled dwelling with exactly the same functions on both sides, but each using the land differently as we wanted them both to stay on the same level but at the same time adapt to the steep terrain. Big window are proposed towards the panoramic view of the city so that the users can enjoy a beautiful scenery. Two terraces are proposed for each dwelling, one covered on the ground floor with access from the living, dining and kitchen and one open on the fist story with access from both bedrooms. The two dwellings are arranged in such way so that both benefit from intimacy and a great view over the city. The landscape design includes a fire pit and hot tub both overlooking the beautiful surroundings and the city.
